plates, panels, solar collectors and modules
There is some ambiguity in the terminology relating to solar panels. Plaques and solar panels are synonymous, and are used both to designate the plaques to absorb heat, and for those that generate electricity.

The term solar collector, however, refers only to those solar panels that produce heat, while the photovoltaic modules are provided.
