In fact, being in an urban environment is no problem for the use of solar photovoltaic energy.

ensuring themselves, an income during the more than 25 years average life of an installation.
Solar energy can be divided into three main types.

Solar thermal energy produces heat, and therefore, can be used to generate hot water and heating. It´s most often used in households, but, increasingly, companies are interested in this type of energy to save fuel costs in their businesses. Some use it for the showers for their employees and other businesses take advantage of it for the industrial processes that require large amounts of water of no more than 50º C.

Photovoltaic solar energy generates electricity. That is its main use. Until not long ago, this type of installations were usually done in fields, but, due to a legislation change, starting this year, there will be a proliferation of installations on roofs of industrial buildings. These installations are beginning to be promoted by the Spanish government.

Finally, we have solar thermal energy, which concentrates the sun´s rays, achieving high t emperatures and generating electricity thanks to the steam that moves a turbine. It is not being utilized yet, but, in the Iberian Peninsula, a wide spread use of it is forecasted.
