A solar thermal installation, to generate hot water, needs to be oversized, in other words, in the summer, more plates than needed are placed, because it´s the only way to meet the demand during the winter. Therefore, in spring and autumn there is a surplus of heat that can be easily manipulated through the installation´s regulating system, but it can also be transmitted to the outdoor pool, if there is one. This way, it is possible to extend the bathing season economically and enjoy the pool in the spring and fall too, since otherwise, it could only be used in the summer because of the water temperature.
