It consists of a hydraulic circuit that runs zig zagging under the floor of the house, through which, circulates a fluid that has previously been cooled or heated. The working temperature of the radiant floor system is much lower than that of radiators, because, in such a large area, it does not require emiting heat from a specific point, such as radiators do.
Other advantages over the radiators are, for example, that the heat is more evenly spread and closer to a person´s body. Radiators, due to their small size, must heat the entire volumen of the room and are not always close to the body. Also, heat tends to rise upwards and the ceiling of the room is always warmer than the floor, which is where people are. As far as radiant floor heating is concerned, the heat also tends to rise up, but since this heating system covers the entire surface of the room, we always get the heat where we are.
In addition, radiant floor heating doesn´t get in the way, like radiators do, when it comes to movie furniture around the room.
