Stages of a vertical loop geothermal installation in Chicago, Illinois

In the first image, we can see how the hole, where the vertical loop geothermal system will be installed, is drilled into the ground. We also find the iron pipe through which the geothermal circuit will run.

In the second image, we see how the four pipes that will form the geothermal circuit, will be helped by its lead tip to go down the iron pipe.

The pipe with the tubes inside of it, is filled with cement. This is what the third image shows.

The fourth image corresponds to the finished engine room.

The heat pump is a ciatesa, Aurea2 h-40 with a power of 11, 5 kW. The geothermal heat exchanger is a 164 meter deep well.
