Selected Facility
Radiant floor in miami
Civic Center in Miami: heating through solar energy, radiant floor heating, heat pump and system monitoring.

This unique facility has a 15,000 liter buried water tank, which is used for its climatization.

In winter, the water from the tank is heated through solar energy and, if necessary, the temperature is raised with a heat pump. This heat is supplied to
the radiant floor heating system.

In the summertime, we cool the tank by means of the heat pump and maintain a momentum to provide cooling through the radiant floor.

This complex system is divided into zones, since the need for heating or cooling varies, depending on where we are in the facility. The client requested a monitoring system that was designed by one of the engineers from Soliclima. Through this system, the person in charge of maintenance of the Civic Center, can watch from anywhere, through the internet, the condition of the system, what´s on and at what temperature are both, the floor and the air in each zone of the facility. The radiant floor, heat pumps, air conditioning units and fancoils are monitored. The system automatically sends us an email if it detects a malfunction of any kind.
