Heating and cooling with radiant floor
Radiant floor consits in a serial of pipes circulating under the floor of the house, and can transmit both, heating and cooling.
Radiant floor is a type of domestic heating with multiple advantages in front of others, as radiator systems. The main advantages are:
· Fuel saving
· Confort level
· Release of room at home, then by circulating under the floor, it cannot be seen and it doesnt disturb by placing the forniture or moving around. It is an advantage for the children as well, then they dont have the risk to hit against corners.
Fuel saving happens for two reasons:
· Radiator is an small surface that must heat the whole volumen of the room. Radiant floor, however, is always close to the human body because is running under the floor, so we dont have to heat the whole room volumen.
· Due to the small size of the radiators, it is necessary to send radiator water to a high temperature, about 160ºF. Radiant floor, however, only requires 110ºF to work.
