Here we show some of the components of a solar photovoltaic installation.

A Solar power installation for a household needs of several different components to work properly:

Photovoltaic panels or modules.
Ondulator, inverter or converter. The three terms are synonymous. Photovoltaic plates produces DC electricity, whereas our appliances and lighting use AC. This device is responsible for reversing or converting the current.
Regulator: it regulates the entry of electricity in the batteries to prevent overcharging.
Batteries: they function similarly to a car battery. They are necessary to be able to use electricity when needed.
Generator: if we use solar energy, we are at the mercy of the weather conditions and, sometimes, there is a need for auxiliary power sources to ensure supply.

In this installation we can see:

In the first five pictures we see the panels and their supports.
In the sixth picture: the green device that is hardly seen in the photograph, is a battery charger. The black one in the center, is the regulator and the white box on the right, is the invertor. The connections at the bottom are protections.
In the seventh image we see an enlarged image of one of the protections.
In the eighth and ninth pictures: the invertor and its interior.
In the tenth and eleventh, t he generator.
In the twelfth, we see the batteries and the last one, shows the ventilation system of the small house.
